The MINI Cooper Adjustable Shifter from CravenSpeed is the only short shifter that gives you the option to set and re-set the shift length and height at any time. This CravenSpeed shifter is available for Gen1 (R50 R53), Gen2 (R56) and Gen3 (F56) MINI Coopers. Just as quickly as you can adjust the seat or mirrors, you can change the feel of this CravenSpeed shifter. A locking collar sits near the base of the shifter and requires only a twist before the height and throw can be adjusted to your liking. You don't even need to look at what you are doing - with with our unique design you cannot over adjust the shifter. Go ahead and move it from top to bottom without damaging your transmission.

This shifter from CravenSpeed is made with care here in the USA. It's Hybrid designed and CNC machined from Stainless Steel, and 6061 Aluminum. These shifters come with a guarantee to be unbreakable. The kits for the 2007+ models come with machined 6061 aluminum bushings as well. Make the feel of each shift more crisp after you replace the rubber bushings with these perfectly machined replacements.

Although the shifter looks best with one of our custom MINI Shift Knobs, the factory MINI stock knob fits perfectly with the included knob adapter. This adapter will also allow you to fit any BMW/MINI Shift Knob. Without the adapter installed, the Craven Speed Short Shifter will also accept most aftermarket knobs. Many use the same standard M12 x 1.25 thread as our available shift knob. The shifter can be adjusted with the faux-leather boot in place, just feel the mechanism and twist. Of course, it is much easier with one of our Shift Well Covers.

As mentioned these Adjustable Short Shifters from CravenSpeed are ready for the F56 2014+ MINI hardtop's. The F56 shifter comes with stiff shifter bushings to replace the stock rubber ones, stiffening the shifter housing and reducing play. Really want to upgrade? Checkout our MINI shift retaining clip.

A Note About F56 JCW Cars: Our Adjustable Short Shifter DOES work on the F56 JCW, but the JCW stock knob is currently incompatible.

There are two different shifters for 1st gen MINI's
MINI Coopers with a production date of December 2003 or newer will need SKU: CRMC-0017-A. The production date is noted on the label of the inside door jamb on the drivers door. Unsure? You can pull up the plastic ring around your shift boot. If the main shift housing is black with a white retaining clip, your MINI was made in December 2003 or later. If the housing is white with a grey retaining clip, your MINI was made before December 2003.
