SPEC clutch kits for the MS3 are some of the highest quality performance clutch kits on the market. SPEC makes a high performance clutch option for you; whether your MS3 is a bone stock daily driver or a fully modified track beast.
Important Note: These kits are a SPEC proprietary non self-ratcheting design and must be used with a SPEC billet flywheel SZ03A-2, these will not work with any other flywheel! Advantages of these units over a factory based self-ratcheting clutch upgrade are: improved pedal feel, higher clamp load options, higher rpm capability, race-proven reliability. Installation is direct bolt-in with no other modifications necessary. If you are looking to reuse your stock or any other flywheel, check out our selection of other clutches.

SPEC Stage 1 for MS3 (07-09)
Stage 1 features an integrally molded carbon Kevlar-based, high performance organic lining that offers smooth engagement and excellent life. This lining has an integrally bonded steel backing for strength under high clamp loads and temperatures. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Stage 1 is suggested for OEM replacement, daily driven or lightly modified MS3.

SPEC Stage 2 for MS3 (07-09)
Stage 2 features a pure Kevlar disc with steel backing. This lining features excellent drivability like the Stage 1, but offers slightly longer life and higher torque capacity. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Best for moderately modified or daily driven MS3.

SPEC Stage 2+ for MS3 (07-09)
SPEC's Stage 2+ features a multi-friction disc in a full faced configuration with carbon semi-metallic on one side and Kevlar on the other. The 2+ offers the drivability and engagement quality of Stage 2, but with a 15-20% higher torque capacity. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Stage 2+ is suggested for highly modified but daily driven MS3's that will see some track time.

SPEC Stage 3 for MS3 (07-09)
The SPEC Stage 3 clutch kit features a carbon semi-metallic 6-puck sprung hub disc that has been the leading pucked clutch in drivability, life & torque capacity. Stage 3 is designed for street & race cars that require an aggressive but streetable engagement & high torque capacity. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility & heat treated for strength and durability. Suggested for highly modified, street, autocross & track driven MS3's.

SPEC Stage 3+ for MS3 (07-09)
Stage 3+ is the flagship stage for a high powered street or race car that requires a manageable and friendly engagement. The SPEC Stage 3+ features a carbon semi-metallic full faced material that offers unparalleled life, friction coefficient and drivability characteristics in one single package. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Suggested for very highly modified, streetable autocross & track driven MS3.

SPEC Stage 4 for MS3 (07-09)
The SPEC Stage 4 is a solid hub version of the Stage 3. The hub is solid 8-rivet and the assembly is heat treated for strength and durability. It is available in 6-puck for the smooth engagement. The Stage 4 is street drivable but not street friendly due to the rigid hub. Best for dedicated drag racing, road racing, rally or drift cars. Not suggested for any street driven MS3.

SPEC Aluminum Flywheel for SPEC Non Self-Racheting Clutches:
SPEC aluminum flywheels are CNC machined and exceed SFI standards for high stress racing applications. The SPEC lightweight flywheels are recommended for highly modified street or racing vehicles. The body of the flywheel is made of tempered aluminum, either 6061 T6 or 2024 T3, for ultimate strength and lightest possible weight. The 1/4 inch thick friction plate is a 1050 high carbon alloy, for incredible durability with any friction disc material, even iron. The plates are secured to the body by aerospace fasteners. The ring gears are pressed on and secured with grade 10 fasteners. They gear is also heat treated for longevity.
