These KYB GR-2/Excel-G gas Struts for the Subaru Legacy GT are engineered to be 15% stiffer than your OE Struts. This makes them a perfect choice for the LGT owner that wants to add a conservative lowering spring to their car, as they will be less prone to “bottoming out” in comparison to the OE Struts. If you decide to go with a lowering spring we recommend the H&R Sport Springs in combination with these KYB struts. Of course these KYB struts work great with your factory springs as well.

The combination of a low-pressure gas charge, a patented check valve to minimize foaming and aeration help make sure the ride of your Legacy stays consistent, even under rough driving conditions. The Excel-G have superseded the popular GR-2 Struts. Aside from the paint and new name they are the exact same product.
