This is the Kartboy short shifter and bushing combo for the 2004+ Subaru STI. This kit completely replaces your factory shifter mechanism, and will also restore any excessive shifter movement due to tired or worn out shifter bushings.

Included is the short throw shifter kit which will decrease the shift throw by 40%, and also included are the rest of the shifter bushings needed to complete the job. This installation can be performed with proper lifting of the vehicle, and typical hand tools. Save a little money by ordering as a kit rather than ordering the parts individually.

This Kartboy Short Shifter replaces the stock shift lever in 2004+ Subaru STI. Overall shift throw is decreased by 40%, providing a noticeable difference and a solid feel. The Shift knob height will also drop 1" as well. Constructed of CNC'd and TIG welded 4130 Cr-Mo steel. It will install with simple mechanic's tools in under 30 minutes.

The Kartboy Shifter Bushings replace the stock shifter mount bushings in the 6-Speed 2004+ Subaru WRX STI. While this product will not change the geometry of the shifting mechanism, it eliminates excessive play in the system for a more solid gear change. This simple modification will make your shifter linkage feel 10x more solid . This product requires jacking of the car and jackstands are mandatory. Can be installed in 30 min and are accessible from underneath the car. The Polyurethane material is Grey for the STI.

The Kartboy Rear shifter bushing replaces the soft factory rubber bushing. It works in conjunction with the Kartboy shifter bushings to help stabilize the shifter assembly mounting base. The rear bushing located underneath the car in the transmission tunnel, above the driveline. This will fit the 5-Speed and 6-Speed Subarus.
