After a while the factory shifter bushings are known to become weak, creating excess shifter slop in both, side to side movement, and forward and backward movement.

The Kartboy bushings are made out of durable polyurethane that will surely tighten things up a bit. The short throw shifter itself will decrease the shifter throw by as much as 40%.
